  • Abstract
JR East has been developing "Feeder line and storage battery hybrid train system" to decrease negative environmental impact by diesel trains that have been operated in non-electrified lines. The development of the battery charging system on ground that supplies electric power to the hybrid train has been tested since last year, and we decided the outline of the facilities. Construction of the battery charging facilities is scheduled this year and the charging test is also scheduled next year.
