  • Abstract
    The author proposes a parameter measurement system, called the signal constraint measurement system (SCMS), which is an integrated software and hardware system using digital techniques. This approach minimizes the hardware requirements and emphasizes software processing to achieve the measurement economy and autonomy. The author presents elements of the SCMS design, describes its capabilities, and discusses potential applications. A particular advantage of the proposed technique is that parameter measurement can be accomplished at the RF (user-system) interface
