  • Abstract
    DLT tape drive technology has evolved through several product generations beginning with the DLT260 introduced in 1990 and followed by introduction of the DLT600, DLT2000, DLT2000XT and DLT4000. The most recent introduction is the DLT7000 launched in early 1996. Quantum´s DLT tape drive products deliver high performance, high capacity and high reliability. The drive designs include a number of important design features and techniques that account for their robustness. This paper reviews some of these features
