Abstract :
Summary form only given. We study the potential of HgGa/sub 2/S/sub 4/ (HGS) for high-power difference-frequency generation (DFG) at 1 kHz and compare it to AgGaS/sub 2/ (AGS). We report 10-fold increase of the output energy and conversion efficiency.
