Abstract
The three-phase rectifiers with the conventional voltage space-vector modulation method have fast dynamic response, but it is complex to be implemented and needs highly speed microprocessor. A novel simplified space-vector modulation method is proposed in this paper. It is different from the conventional space-vector, the region is divided through the three phase phase-voltage cross zero of the input voltages. Based on the theory analyzing, the uniform duty ratio formulas are given under the rectifying and inverting operation. The space-vector modulation is utilized by the uniform duty ratio formulas. The proposed method has the advantage of conventional space-vector modulation method with fast dynamic response and is simple to be implemented. With the proposed method, the rectifier can either work under rectifying operation or inverting operation and the input power factor can be corrected to about unity. Computer simulation results show that the proposed method is valid.
