Abstract
Noninterfering communications can be provided at moderate symbol rates using chip-rate keying. The method described generates a filtered BPSK spread spectrum signal in which the chipping rate is keyed in accordance with the data to be conveyed. The receiver uses a simple filter-and-square chip-rate detector to a demodulate the signal. The achievable data rate and the impact of strong narrowband interference are the key issues investigated
