Abstract
The necessity of protecting data and/or information leads researchers to develop new and more sophisticated methods of cryptography. The last generation of encryption algorithms is based on non-deterministic methodologies, and looks towards new solutions, rising from chaos theory applications. This paper deals with new methods of authentication and of electronic signature (or electronic certification) chaotic algorithms-based, supported by digital architecture easily realizable on a smart card
