Abstract
The paper focuses on the transmission properties of a finite-size photonic crystal slab with a linearly dispersive Lorentz dielectric, where the frequency-dependent finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) formulation based on the direct-integration method is extended from the conventional three-dimensional FDTD technique that has been numerically validated against the references in terms of the transmission spectra of a finite size square-lattice dielectric photonic-crystal slab.
