  • Abstract
Integrating telecom services to a standard service delivery platform reusing its standard interfaces to communicate with other services makes both deployment and operation cheaper and easier. That makes it necessary to integrate the state of the art technologies like OMA Converged IP Messaging (CPM) with a standard All-IP service delivery platform like IMS. This work focused on the yet to be explored area of CPM-IMS integration. The possible interfaces and functionalities of IMS that can help CPM were explored. The architecture of CPM was reviewed and areas of interfacing were identified. Based upon all the findings, an integration model and architecture was proposed in this paper. This integration would enable implementers of CPM to reuse many of their already existing platform modules such as Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) or Presence and thus minimize the cost and maximize the efficiency of the service network.
