Abstract :
The measurement principle presented is based on a high precision positioning system for object rotation, in conjunction with an optical distance sensor based on an autofocus principle. A personal computer equiped with special interfaces delivers the motor voltage (pulse width signal) for the desired object rotation speed and reads the signal from the high resolution incremental angular encoder in order to control the object rotation speed. Furthermore, the computer also performs the reading of the sensor distance signal as well as the subsequent storage and visualisation of the evaluated measurement data
