Abstract
With increasing emphasis being placed on vibration reduction and the balancing process in motor manufacturing, it is becoming essential that balancing methods and tolerances be properly specified and universally understood. The broad range of balancing units and terminology used in motor manufacturing, as well as the rationale for their use are examined. A standardized approach is developed that will recommend what information needs to be included in a part print, and how to best express it
