Abstract
Military C3 will be driven by the need to interoperate with a wide variety of allied forces in an equally wide variety of third world scenarios. The trend to commercial off-the-shelf and non-developmental items should alleviate some of the problem areas. However, the need for pinpoint accuracy and the timing of delivery of sophisticated weapons will continue to stress C3 capabilities, especially in coalition warfare. The author addresses these issues and demonstrates the role of international cooperation in future C3 developments and production
