Abstract
It is important for industries today to manage the life cycle of their products in order to ensure being competitive in the market. The time reduction of design and manufacture is a problem which must be overcome. Industries must be able to make early decisions in the life cycle of the product. The virtual prototyping is a tool which helps solving this problem. A virtual environment for prototyping is a real time simulator allowing a virtual contact with the product. In this paper, we present an application under the virtual environment OpenMASK where we model the behaviour of a rotary pneumatic jack
