Abstract
A band separation technique to obtain ADC distortion power measures is considered. Results show that Gaussian signals fit theoretical curves but are not very sensitive to common ADC errors while uniform signals conform to theory and are sensitive to errors, e.g., NPR measures 0 dB below peak for a Gaussian signal whereas the measure is 5 dB below peak for the uniform signal when an 8-bit ADC having 7 effective bits is used for the test
