Abstract
Sustainability is not a hype, but become an integrated aspect for transportation. But what does sustainability mean for this sector and is the common approach in the form of emission reduction sufficient? This paper will take the standard approach of governments and logistic service providers and place them into a broader concept with a higher degree of social acceptability. Based upon these principles we want to present a model to help logistic service providers to setup sustainable European networks.
