Abstract :
This work analyzed one type of microstrip patch antenna element for circularly polarized phased arrays. The Green´s function and convolution technique, in the periodic structure, are used to analyze the microstrip patch elements, and the EFIE are solved by the method of moments (MoM). Results are shown for the active reflection coefficient and active element pattern (gain and axial ratio), and contrasted with the Ansoft HFSS solution. This method can be used in predicting the array active and scanning performances.
