  • Abstract
    In this paper the effect of the corona discharge on insect pests was investigated. Wheat samples were placed on a plate electrode and pin to plate corona discharge generated above samples. The results showed that Corona discharge treatment have significant effect on reducing the population of insects. A positive correlation was found between exposure time to corona discharge and the rate of insect´s mortality. The samples containing Tribolium castaneum were treated for 30, 60, 90 and 120 s, the corresponding insect mortality reached 60, 78, 90 and 100%, respectively. The results and details will discussed in full paper.
