Abstract
London Underground Limited has taken a proactive stance in realizing the need for a company engineering information management system. Two main cultural changes have ban instrumental in bringing information management to the forefront; namely, the adoption of a system/process approach to engineering management and the introduction and escalation of numerous IT `solutions´. The paper intends to outline the approach taken by London Underground in establishing an engineering information management system within the new culture
