Abstract :
A novel CAD tool for the design and automatic generation of ΣΔ modulators for 1-bit ΣΔ DACs is presented, Working from a user´s specification the tool automates the modulator design subject to special stability criteria. The tool translates the design into VHDL. The generated VHDL is synthesized by commercial synthesis tools. The tool was used to design and generate a modulator for an 18-bit fifth-order ΣΔ DAC
