Abstract
In this paper, first the optimal values of the compensated capacitors for a serial-parallel loosely coupled inductive power transfer systems (SP-LCIPTS) are determined. Then the operation constraint is imposed to achieve minimum volt-ampere (VA) rating of the inverter. Closed form solutions of the multiple operating frequencies as well the corresponding feasible conditions are derived. Six operation modes are proposed which enable the implementation of the proposed primary-side control of the secondary output power. Finally, some simulated results are provided to verify the feasibility of the proposed theory.
