Abstract :
Shipborne inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging is in imperious demands with warfare at sea tending to be the key battle field in the future. Simulations of ship-borne ISAR imaging with the traditional Range-Doppler Algorithm (RDA) are studied when ships are yawing, pitching and rolling are studied. The final image quality deteriorates with increasing motion amplitude and reducing motion period of the ship platform. In order to improve the imaging grade, this paper proposed to use time-frequency signal analysis. Simulation shows the proposed method is very effective.
