Abstract
The work presents an efficient phase-locked loop PM demodulator with low complexity for application in a satellite telemetry/telecommand (TM/TC) transponder. The loop provides good recovery of intermediate frequency (IF) phase modulated signals with poor signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of -10 dB and provides a flat output amplitude response. It consumes little power and can track a frequency variation of ±350 kHz in the second IF of 10.7 MHz.
