Abstract :
Collective revelry via network is a social phenomenon unique to Internet. The author conducted a questionnaire survey and interview on 256 students participating collective revelry via network, with results indicating that the novelty-seeking, rebellion, irresponsibility, popular culture, entertainment and the collective subconscious are the main psychological motives for contemporary college students to join in the collective revelry via network.
