Abstract
In this paper an improvement technique for the current distortion of the three-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive system is proposed. The proposed control method is based on the concept of superimposing the DC current into the current control loop of the cascaded double three-phase full bridge based converter. The tested machine is a 1.5 kW, 3-phase, 6-stator-pole and 4-rotor-pole SRM. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by the simulation results.
