Abstract
The convolutional projection code is presented. Encoding and decoding processes are reviewed, and hardware complexity and performance data are presented. Estimates of the error rates of the code as obtained by computer simulations are presented. The results showed that the code uses very simple encoding and decoding procedures which are easily implemented. Results also showed that the code outperforms many known codes and is comparable in performance to the block projection code, which is harder to implement and more time consuming in the sense that the decoder would have to wait for the entire block to be received before it can start decoding
