Abstract
In order to obtain the improvement factor under the clutter background, a basic method for modeling coherent Lognormal distribution clutter is introduced by the method zero memory nonlinearity (ZMNL). The simulated results of the computer simulation of the clutter generate coherent Lognormal distribution clutter with Gaussian power-spectrum, and the practical and theoretical curves of probability density and power spectrum density are shown in the results. The obtained results prove that the presented method is effective and accurate for simulating clutter. The generated clutter signal can be used in the improvement factor test as the clutter background.
