Abstract :
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has its own special features different from conventional radar. It has high processing gain, so jamming SAR is more difficult than jamming conventional radar. Jamming SAR is important in some military scenarios. Starting with the operating features of SAR, the possibility and the effectiveness of several active methods of jamming SAR are analyzed. Because of the high processing gain for SAR, very high barrage power is needed to jam SAR, and a good method to adopt is deceptive jamming. The simulation results of generating deceptive signals are presented. It was founded that the jamming method of barrage plus deception is effective.
