  • Abstract
    A large number of apparel pictures for fashion show are waiting to be processed since the rapid development of apparel e-commerce. A quickly and automatically e-commerce apparel image processing approach by which apparel image matting used in 2D apparel presentation could be gotten is proposed in this paper. The presented apparel image preparation flow contains image capture, registration and matting, etc. The apparel image matting steps mainly include image binarization, mask extracting, etc. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. Some typical presentation technologies and applications based on the 2D try-on apparel image such as apparel compositing, apparel fabric and color display, 2D virtual try-on, garment retrieval, etc. also are introduced. The proposed approach and ideas offer important reference to the research of 2D apparel presentation.
