Abstract
Space optical systems are usually exposed to the external space environment. Therefore, space contamination has a bad influence on the space optical systems. Infrared optical system is the most part of space optical systems. In this paper, the contamination source and principle of space contamination were analyzed. The experiment was designed to observe effects of oil molecular contamination. Then, the results of thin film interference were analyzed. We could use the results of research to choose proper detection wavelength on the space infrared optical system or get the mass of contamination. At last, we could draw the conclusions about contamination effects of oil molecular contamination on the space infrared optical system.
