  • Abstract
"The only thing that is a constant is change." Greek philosopher, Heraclitus. This idiom is especially true when dealing with a software development project. With varying degrees, change impacts project delivery, budget, and quality. Often in today\´s environment, the requirements for higher quality software combined with compressed timelines and fewer developers can make change management a difficult task. This paper focuses on how agile practices play a role in managing changes in an industrial software project developed at TransCanada. We discuss how the impacts of changes in resources, changes in requirements, and external factors can be minimized. We examine numerous methods of overcoming challenges that often occur during industrial software development.
