Abstract :
The new joint microscope enjoys powerful potential because it not only offers the locating function for the fibre optic scanning confocal microscope (FOSCM), but also has a 3D sectioning ability with resolution of nanometers. It is convenient to operate and apply. Although it is a joint system consisted of the FOSCM improved and the quasi-confocal microscope, it is a compact system with portable components, such as optical fiber, optical objectives and eyepieces, and so on. Presently transverse resolution of the microscope is not satisfactory, but it will be improved further in term of apodization filtering technique.
