Abstract :
This paper discuss the modal behaviour of a UV-written channel in novel modified chemical vapor deposition planar silica substrate called Flat Fiber in 1550 nm and 630 nm operating wavelength. Numerical analysis of this device shows single mode behaviour in 1550 nm and multimode in 630 nm. Corresponding field and power distributions are presented and related further studies are discussed.
