Abstract :
We demonstrated the proposed optical path monitoring method, which is scalable to the number of nodes and wavelengths, in a simplified 4 /spl times/ 4 optical cross connect (OXC) with path dependent loss compensation. This simple and scalable scheme is suitable for optical path monitoring of transparent optical networks.
