Abstract :
A nonlinear exponential weighted algorithm is proposed for the MAD calculation based on deep research on the proposal of rate control-JVT-H017, as rate control is an important component of video compression technology which plays a great role in stabilizing rate and ensures a good reception quality. In addition, a new judging method of rate control effects is also introduced before representing the new algorithm. Experiment results show that the improved algorithm which keeps the video quality can make the actual rate closer to the target rate, compared with that of the original scheme.
