Abstract
With a customer expectation of increased `quality and economy of supply´, the distribution businesses are continually searching for ways in which to improve the network performance. Voltage control systems are often a limiting factor to the flexible use of various plant components that comprise the distribution network. The requirements of a voltage control system that will enable higher utilisation of plant installed capacity, accurate voltage control under varying network arrangements and an inherent simplicity conducive with reliability are described
