Abstract :
The authors describe their work on current-mode analog signal processing. Extending the conventional voltage-mode op-amp to provide current-mode performance has resulted in many useful application circuits being developed, ranging from universal follower amplifiers and current-conveyor-based impedance converters and filters, through to precision rectification and instrumentation amplifiers. Particular attention is given to work centered on developments of novel bipolar IC structures, including an operational floating current-conveyor, and developments toward a fully differential current-mode op-amp
