Abstract
Supplier management is an important problem with strategic meaning in the automotive supply chain of China. However, the complexity of the auto product makes difficulty of the supplier management in the auto industry. From the view of cooperation and collaboration, the essence of the supplier management is analyzed and the concept of supplier service optimization is proposed in this paper. Also, the whole process of supplier management basing on service optimization is summarized, including supplier selection, task distribution, performance evaluation and decision adjustment. The ability evaluation index system for supplier selection is established from four aspects of finance, development, technology and service. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and goal programming are combined together in the method model to help achieve service optimization in the supplier management. The efficiency and feasibility of the method is proved by the case study. Lastly, some discussions and conclusions are made for supplier management in the automotive supply chain of China.
