Abstract
The total variation (TV) regularization method is very effective and attractive for various image processing applications. The problem with the TV approach is the long computational time resulting from iterative calculations, which has been considered to be a major hurdle for its application to motion pictures. In this study, we have implemented the TV algorithm on the CELL processor by using various special programming techniques and an optimum software design.
