Abstract

Objective: To explore the principles and strategies of Chinese-English (Ch-En) translation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Method: after a review of existing principles and strategies, the discourse differences of the TCM texts and their English translations has been compared. Results: The translation of TCM materials has its limitation, only when applying the correct strategy, high quality of translation works will be available. Conclusion: It is hoped that this research can be useful for future TCM translation practice.
