Abstract
The conventional phoswich detectors are configured with two dissimilar response time scintillators and need a complex electronic system. A new configuration has been devised using two similar response time scintillators. The main detector was coupled to one phototube using an acrylic light guide. The second detector, which was used as Compton-suppressor, was coupled directly to another phototube. Thus, the signals can be measured easily with lower cost and simplified electronic devices.<>
