Abstract :
Asy_pathchar is an asymmetric link bandwidth measurement algorithm based on calculating the relationship between the RTT latency and the measuring packet size. The problem of this algorithm is detailedly analyzed and a new algorithm named Asy_pro is put forward. Network simulation experimentspsila result validates that the new algorithm has improved the overall performance on measuring time-consuming, network bandwidth-consuming and anti-jamming, all of which makes it a more robust and practicably algorithm.
