Abstract
Summary form only given. The lifetime of light-induced charges on shallow levels in lithium niobate (LiNbO/sub 3/) is crucial for two-color holography performance. Here we report on the observation of very slow dark decay of light-induced charges on shallow levels in LiNbO/sub 3/:Mg. The effects of such a slow decay behavior on the two-color recording properties are investigated experimentally.
