Abstract :
From the perspective of slack resources, this paper studies the relationship between human resource and technological innovation. We develop a nonlinear inverted N-shaped relationship model between human resource slack and technological innovation, and subsequently test this model using samples of 283 Chinese firms. The empirical results show that too little human resource slack is negatively related to the technological innovation, moderate human resource slack is positively related to the technological innovation and too much human resource slack is negatively related to the technological innovation.
