Abstract :
A monolith optoelectronic IC carrying out the function of a smart sensor for control and monitoring microsystems is described. The 2.3×2.3 mm2 chip was fabricated with a 2-μm CMOS/SOS process technology. It consists of built-in solar cell voltage source, photo-voltaic sensor, CMOS A/D converter, EPROM, decoder, linear amplifier and output buffer. The IC provides stable operation for light intensity from 1500 lk to more than 106 lk and controls the liquid crystalline indicator with minimum input current 2-4 nA/segment and voltage supple 1.6-1.8 V
