Abstract :
The influence of an internal catalyst on gassing rates, positive and negative polarizations, and float currents on VRLA batteries is discussed. Comparisons are made with control cells without catalyst. Questions concerning the impact of an internal catalyst on battery life and its long term stability are also addressed
