Abstract :
It is to observe the effectiveness of abdominal acupuncture for Bi syndrome of casino workers in Macau. A randomized controlled trial was conducted. The recruited subjects in accordance with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group (abdominal acupuncture group) and the control group (body acupuncture group). Visual analogue scales (VAS) was applied for evaluating the effectiveness. Totally 100 cases were recruited in the trial with 50 ones in each group. After treatment, the effective rate of the abdominal acupuncture group was 90%, and that of the body acupuncture group was 78%. There was statistical significance between the two groups (P<;0.05). The effectiveness of the abdominal acupuncture is superior to the normal body acupuncture for Bi syndrome of casino workers.
