Abstract
We study the power consumption of several multiuser detectors in the power controlled DS-CDMA system. The matched-filter detector, linear MMSE detector, successive interference cancellation (SIC), and LMMSE-SIC are considered. Closed form analysis and numerical results show that by using a multiuser detector, system power consumption can significantly be reduced and the network capacity be increased
