  • Abstract
The segmentation of zebrafish image is an important step for the processing and analysis of zebrafish image, due to the feature of uneven intensities and weak boundary in zebrafish images, general segmentation methods may result in missing part object or inexact segmentation, but active contour model can evolve enclosed active curve towards boundary automatically, which is easy to get the whole contour. In this paper, considering the features of zebrafish image, active contour model is introduced to segment the zebrafish images, and two different modes are described in detail based on this model, which are the mode based on boundary information and the mode based on mixture of the boundary and area information, and both these two modes can obtain satisfactory segmentation results in the experiments.
