Abstract :
We introduce nonlinear transmission line (NLTL) based on left-handed (LH) media and simulate third-harmonic generation in a material that in two dimensions could also focus microwaves. We discuss physical phenomena that lead to and affect harmonic generation in LH NLTL and we outline advantages of LH NLTL media for developing a new type of frequency multiplier.
