Abstract :
Sequential iterative process is a kind of basic product development process. In order to manage and improve this kind of processes, a simulative model and simulation arithmetic for estimating the expect time of sequential iterative development process was proposed. The rework impact factors in the model affect the remaining time of the rework tasks other than the task duration. The performance parameters in the model might be random variables. A simulation experiment for process time estimation was presented by an example of iterative software test processes.
